<p><b>Diabetul zaharat</b> este un sindrom caracterizat prin valori crescute ale concentratiei glucozei în sânge (hiperglicemie) și dezechilibrarea metabolismului.Hormonul numit insulinaă permite celulelor corpului să folosească glucoza ca sursă de energie.
